Who are we?

The Grandparent’s Community Network is

an asset for grand families and other caregivers to access while caring for family and fostering care to others. We provide the shoulders to lean on until you can stand.

We are developing
We want to form alliances with other nonprofits and community sectors.

What do we do?

We assist grandparents with resources to help meet traditional needs

not provided by state and federal dollars such as respite care, food, crisis mgt, emergency needs etc. We provide the shoulders from the community for grandparents to lean on until their grandkids can stand on their own.

We are proud to be a leading organization that supports grandparents raising grandchildren. Our goal is to increase awareness and understanding of the challenges these grandparents face and the important role they play in their grandchildren's lives.

How do we do it?

We will accomplish our mission and goals through financial assistance, awareness of the issues, support groups, media, technology, volunteers. education and training, self advocacy. We will encourage grandparents to share their stories, barriers and needs

Raising grandchildren can be both rewarding and demanding. At TGCN, we are committed to making the journey easier by advocating for the benefits of grand families and raising awareness on the issues they face.

Why are we doing it?

This is a world wide epidemic. It is not just a USA problem. It is global.  We may not be able to reach that far. But we can in our own communities. We are doing it so we can help caregivers create a nurturing environment where the children can thrive and the grandparents can provide the love and care essential for their well-being rather than waiting for the next crisis to occur!

.We understand that grandparents who have taken on the responsibility of raising their grandchildren face unique challenges in their daily lives.  Contact us today to find out more about our services and how we can help.
