The Grandparent’s Community Network

The Grandparent’s Community Network is a nonprofit organization created to assist
grandparents raising grandchildren and other caregivers who are raising adopted children.

What do we do?

We assist grandparents with resources to help meet traditional needs not provided by state and federal dollars such as respite care, food, crisis mgt, emergency needs etc. We provide the shoulders from the community for grandparents to lean on until their grandkids can stand on their own.

How do we do it?

We accomplish our mission and goals through financial assistance, issue awareness, support groups, media, technology, volunteers, education, training, and self advocacy. We encourage grandparents to share their stories, barriers and needs.

Why are we doing it?

Raising grandchildren can be both rewarding and demanding. At TGCN, we are committed to making the journey easier by advocating for the benefits of grand families and raising awareness on the issues they face.
